Introduction

The ISS Exchange Service supports mail and calendaring for Windows/Macs/Linux/Mobile Phone users in varying ways, and is the only mail service provided for staff and research students (other students now get Office 365). Outlook is the recommended client for both Windows and Mac users (and Linux too via Outlook Web Access) though it is possible to use others such as Thunderbird, Mac Mail, Ical etc.

IMAP access

IMAP access is available for those who want it, by computing officer request on your behalf. Raise a support ticket to request IMAP access.

Mail archiving

The former EAS archiving service has now been withdrawn.

There is now a web page at http://www.ncl.ac.uk/itservice/email/staff/archiving/exchange2010archivemailbox/ outlining Exchange Personal Archives.
